FCFCU Student Scholarship Winners

Congratulations to our 2009 Student Scholarship winners!

Fulton County Federal Credit Union awards $4,000 in scholarships each year in an effort to help further the education of area students. The program awards: (2) $1,000 scholarships to those candidates who have demonstrated exemplary academic merit and (2) $1,000 scholarships to those candidates who have engaged in volunteering and community service.

Qualifying students must be members and in good standing with the credit union, age 21 or younger, and a first time college bound student to apply. Applicants are judged on academic performance, extracurricular, and community service activities/employment, quality of a written essay, and teacher/supervisor references.

This year, the Credit Union is proud to award academic scholarships to Adele Friello, a graduate of Johnstown High School, Matthias Maier a graduate of Broadalbin-Perth High School, and community service scholarships to Zackary Putnam, a graduate of Broadalbin-Perth High School, and Lauren Lysiak, a graduate of Broadalbin-Perth High School.

Their outstanding academic performance, honors, and leadership qualities are exemplary. These students are commended for their desire to pursue higher education.

We wish the Class of 2009 much success and hope that credit union membership will help them achieve their financial goals.
